WA's winning streak continues with four Division One wins across four days

WA lottery players are being urged to check their tickets after four Division One prizes were won across the State in just four days.

The winning streak included Saturday Lotto, Millionaire Medley and Set for Life, with one player becoming the first West Australian to claim Set for Life's top prize since the game was enhanced last month.

Two Division One-winning Saturday Lotto tickets were sold at Thornlie Square Newspower and Highgate Lotto News and Gifts, while Melville Newspower sold the winning Set for Life ticket.

On Monday a Millionare Medley winner joined the mix, the online ticket set to claim a $1 million prize.

Melville Newspower owner, Angela Misackovski, said it was thrilling to learn the store had sold the winning Set for Life ticket.

“We love seeing big wins land in our local community, there will be plenty of people checking their tickets and wondering if they're the lucky winner,” Ms Misackovski said.

"Everyone gets excited when a big prize is sold here. We have a friendly rivalry between staff over who sells the biggest winner, and thanks to this one, I've claimed bragging rights.

“There's nothing better than knowing you've helped deliver news that can change someone's future.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Nikki Wilson-Smith said the Set for Life win added an extra layer of excitement to an already remarkable weekend for WA players.

“Three Division One wins across Perth is fantastic news, but what makes this Set for Life win even more special is that it's the first top-prize winner since the game changes were introduced in September,” Ms Wilson-Smith said.

“Set for Life now offers winners an upfront cash boost in addition to the ongoing monthly prize.

"Division One winners receive $200,000 upfront and $20,000 every month for 20 years, while Division Two winners receive $20,000 upfront and $5,000 a month for a year.

“I would encourage all players to check their tickets; they may just be about to discover they've won a truly life-changing prize.”

A Lotterywest grant will help the Bus Preservation Society of WA preserve and share Western Australia’s transport history, ensuring future generations can experience the stories and vehicles that helped connect communities across the State.

"From school runs and family holidays to journeys that connected regional communities, these buses hold a special place in the memories of many Western Australians and through Lotterywest, we're helping preserve that history for generations to come,” said Ms Wilson-Smith.

So far this year $91 million has been returned to the community through Saturday Lotto ticket sales, with $1.89 million generated from this Saturday’s draw alone.

Tickets for OZ Lotto's $20 million draw tonight can be purchased in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App.
