WA celebrates first Set for Life win of 2026

One West Aussie has secured a future of possibilities thanks to winning Division One in Set for Life last night, a prize of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

WA’s winning ticket was sold through Lotterywest Play Online and becomes the State’s first Set for Life Division One winner of the year.

As the State’s newest Division One winner, the ticketholder can look forward to $20,000 a month for the next 20 years, a total of $4.8 million across two decades.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the win was just the beginning for this player whose life has changed overnight.

“Imagine waking up today and knowing you will receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years,” she said.

“Last year, a set of twin brothers who won Set for Life made plans to slow down and spend more time together fishing thanks to their prize.

“We look forward to meeting WA’s latest Division One winner and hearing how this prize will change their life.”

Last night’s Division One win takes WA’s tally for the year to 20 Division One winners who have shared in more than $38 million in prizes.

Lotterywest is the nation’s only government-owned and operated Lottery where all available profit from every ticket sold is returned to the WA community through grants.

A Lotterywest grant of $145,000 is supporting the City of Fremantle’s annual festival program, including the Fremantle International Street Arts Festival happening across the Easter long weekend.

The next major draw for WA players is this Thursday thanks to Powerball’s $30 million jackpot.

Tickets are available in-store, online or via the Lotterywest App until 6pm on Thursday.
