Update: WA ticket wins $50 million Powerball prize

A ticket from Western Australia matched the numbers to win the entire $50 million Powerball jackpot last night.

Lotterywest can confirm the Division One winning ticket was sold through Lotterywest Play Online.

Last night’s winning ticket was the only Division One winner across the country and becomes the State’s fourth Division One Powerball win of the year.

In April, a trio of friends took home a $30 million Powerball jackpot, a Peel woman in her 60s claimed a $20 million prize in September, and last month a south of the river man in his 50s won a $25 million Powerball prize.

Across the State more than 178,000 Powerball prizes were recorded across other divisions, including one Division Two ticket worth $160,671 sold by The Lucky Charm Willetton.

The good news for WA continues with more than $10.7 million contributing to Lotterywest’s grants program thanks to this five-week Powerball jackpot roll.

A Lotterywest grant of $1.2 million is supporting food relief charity SecondBite with a bigger facility in Kewdale, which recently opened and is helping feed more Western Australian families who are in need.
