Set for Life set for additional $200k upfront payment

Set for Life is set to be even better, with Division One now including a $200,000 upfront payment in addition to $20,000 a month for 20 years.

The $200,000 upfront payment gives winners the opportunity to enjoy an immediate boost while still benefiting from the long-term security a Set for Life Division One win offers, allowing them to linger on a win for years to come.

From 14 September, Division One winners will now take home a total prize of $5 million across two decades.

Set for Life players that win Division Two will also benefit from an upfront payment thanks to the enhanced game and will take home a $20,000 upfront payment in addition to $5,000 a month for 12 months.

The new upfront payment gives winners greater flexibility to make an immediate impact on their lives such as helping family, home renovations, or booking a dream holiday.

A past winner said he has enjoyed a life of travel since winning Set for Life’s Division One in 2023, slowly ticking destinations off his bucket list.

“Our holidays have included a European cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest, we’ve been to Singapore a few times, Bali, and we are going on a blossom cruise next year in Japan,” he said.

The winner said he thought the enhanced game change was a big positive.
“If we’d received the $200,000 upfront, we would have paid off our mortgage and it would have lightened the load, but it’s given us the freedom to just go and do something like a last-minute holiday, we don’t have to save up, and that is a real joy.”

Tickets for the new Set for Life will be on sale in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App from Monday 14 September 2026.

Set for Life tickets are unavailable from 7-13 September while we make the game change happen. Tickets for all other games remain available.
