Scratch'n'Win gives WA millions of reasons to celebrate
It’s joy to Western Australia this year since nearly $50 million was raised for community groups across the State, thanks to Scratch’n’Win games.
Over the past year, WA Scratch'n'Win players have helped support hundreds of community groups - from a $15,000 grant for the 2025 Joondalup Christmas Lunch, a festive event offering fellowship to those isolated on Christmas Day, to more than $4.7 million in support of the City of Perth’s free annual community celebrations, including the spectacular Christmas Lights Trail.
Lotterywest spokesperson Jake Battrick said winning a scratchie prize, big or small, is like finding an extra present under the tree.
“We love meeting our Scratch’n’Win players at Lotterywest HQ,” he said.
“Our most recent scratchie player, just this week, and days before Christmas has picked out a new car to help them get around and see their family during the end-of-year festivities thanks to their $100,000 Top Prize.”
WA players have shared in more than $105 million in prizes so far this year.
July created the most Top Prize winners with eight wins celebrated around the State, everywhere from Halls Head to Geraldton.
With only a handful of weeks left in 2025, let’s unwrap some of this year’s best scratchie tales.

Winning is better together – Kingsley besties celebrate $200,000 win
A Kingsley woman and her life-long best friend treated themselves to a glamourous spa day after winning a $200,000 Scratch’n’Win prize in April.
The winning friends bought the scratchie from Kingsway City Lottery Centre on the way to their favourite breakfast spot, where they scratched the ticket and initially mistook it for a $200 prize.
This December, WA players can enjoy the festive season with a Christmas scratchie gift pack. These gift packs are now available from Lotterywest retailers until Wednesday 24 December.
