An Atwell couple has received the phone call of a lifetime from Lotterywest, after mistaking their $832,404 Saturday Lotto win for a broken app.
The woman, who is now planning an early retirement, first thought the Lotterywest Play Online App was broken.
“I saw I had a win, but no amount was shown,” she said.
”I thought it was broken, put it down, and didn’t think anything else of it until I got a call from Lotterywest telling me I had won Division One.
“Life just got a whole lot easier.”
The couple, in their 50s and 60s plan to pay off their mortgage, help their kids and enjoy an upcoming holiday to Europe.
The next chance for West Australians to win is tonight’s $20 million OZ Lotto draw.
