Saturday Lotto winners come forward

Lotterywest’s Winner’s Room has been busy over the past week with recent Saturday Lotto Division One winners coming forward to claim their prizes.

Over the past two weeks, six tickets from Western Australia have matched the numbers to a Division One Saturday Lotto prize.

A ticket sold from Nextra Merredin resulting in a Division One prize worth $851,429 has been claimed by a Merredin local.

The player bought the ticket on a whim the day before the draw.

“I saw the store post online about there being a winner in Merredin and thought I better check my ticket,” the player said.

“I checked the numbers and couldn’t believe it when I saw I had them all.

“The most I’ve ever won is about $100 and I was absolutely chuffed with that, so this was a huge surprise.”

The player plans to put the prize towards their mortgage and plan an overseas holiday.

Also planning an overseas holiday is a player from the northern suburbs who celebrated a $588,235 win from a ticket purchased from Kingsway City Lottery Centre.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said it has been a great start to the year for WA Lotto players.

“Thanks to our players and local retailers, we are able to support community groups across the State with grants funded by all available profits from ticket sales,” she said.

A $3,000 Lotterywest grant is supporting the Shire of Cunderdin with a community bus, which will increase community engagement and participation in the Wheatbelt area.

OZ Lotto has jackpotted to an incredible $70 million, giving players the chance to become a multi-millionaire in Tuesday’s draw.

Tickets are available until 6pm on Tuesday in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App.
