Saturday Lotto win gives Morley another reason to celebrate

Players in Morley should check their tickets after a Saturday Lotto ticket from Bishop Street Newsagency matched the numbers to a Division One prize.

The prize, now worth $1,044,169, was one of five Division One wins across the country along with one win in South Australia and three in Victoria.

Across Western Australia, 14 players also won Division Two prizes now worth more than $10,000 each.

Bishop Street Newsagency in Morley is celebrating its third Division One win in just two weeks, after the store created two Division One wins in Saturday Lotto’s Superdraw on 27 July.

The good news for WA doesn’t stop there, after a ticket from Northam Central Newsagency became WA’s first Set for Life winner for 2024 last Friday 2 August.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender says what a fantastic weekend for WA players.

“What a great weekend for WA, a Friday player is now Set for Life, and a third Saturday Lotto win in Morley,” she said.

“This brings the Division One tally for the year to 29, with 16 of those wins thanks to Saturday Lotto.”

In the 2023-24 Financial Year, more than $97 million from Saturday Lotto ticket sales went to the WA community through Lotterywest’s grant program.

This includes $128,300 to the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council towards the Avon Descent's free community festivals happening in Northam, Toodyay, Swan and Bayswater this weekend.

The next chance for WA players to win big is in this Thursday’s $30 million Powerball jackpot.

Tickets are available in-store, online or via the Lotterywest App until 6pm Thursday.
