Saturday Lotto creates a new millionaire in Collie

Lotterywest is eagerly waiting to hear from Western Australia’s newest millionaire who matched the numbers to a Division One prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The ticket, sold from Reuben's News in Collie, is now worth $1,244,104.

Saturday’s win is the State’s eighth Division One win in just two weeks, and the second in a regional area after a ticket sold in Northam became WA’s first Set for Life Division One winner for 2024 earlier this month.

Lotterywest retailer Paul Reuben from Reuben's News said he loves finding out he has sold a winning ticket.

“It’s absolutely awesome news and being a small country town, a win like this always creates an air of excitement in the town,” Paul said.

“It gets people talking and creates such a good feel and buzz about town.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said she is also still waiting on two Millionaire Medley winners to come forwards from Monday and Wednesday last week.

“What a fantastic run WA is having over the past month. We can’t wait to welcome these winners to our Winners Room soon,” she said.

“Our Division One winners tally is currently sitting at 33, with players sharing more than $44 million in Division One prizes this year.”

WA players also celebrated 19 Division Two wins in last Saturday’s draw, each worth more than $13,000.

Thanks to WA players, the last financial year saw $373 million go to WA community groups through Lotterywest’s grants program.

A recent grant worth almost $950,000 will support the City of Fremantle to commission a major public art project in Walyalup Koort that recognises the entire Noongar Nation, preserving and sharing Aboriginal culture and history through art.
