Powerball creates a West Aussie multi-millionaire

A Western Australian ticket has won a share in tonight’s $20 million Powerball jackpot.

WA’s winning ticket was purchased through Lotterywest Play Online and is worth $10 million.

The WA ticket was one of two Division One winners across the country, with the other winning ticket sold in Victoria.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said it was fantastic to celebrate a Division One Powerball win so early in the year.

“What an incredible start to the year for WA Powerball players, with a WA ticket pocketing a $10 million prize on Powerball’s second draw of the year,” she said.

“We celebrated four Division One Powerball wins in 2025 which was so exciting and those WA players shared in $125 million in Division One prizes.

“We can’t wait to welcome tonight’s winner into the Lotterywest Winners Room.”

WA players are also celebrating more than 100,000 prizes across other divisions, including 19 Division Two tickets worth more than $11,000 each.

Lotterywest is proud to be able to provide ongoing support to the WA community, with this two-week Powerball jackpot roll contributing more than $3.5 million to Lotterywest’s grants program.

A Lotterywest grant of $437,000 is supporting the Shire of Cunderdin’s Youth Wellness Hub, which will strengthen community connection and participation for young people in the Wheatbelt region.

Tonight’s winning numbers are 16, 25, 17, 15, 27, 7, and 26 and the Powerball is 9.
