OZ Lotto jackpots to a life-changing $70 million

OZ Lotto has soared to its highest jackpot since August last year and at $70 million, the fourth largest in Lotto history.

The record for an OZ Lotto jackpot was $100 million in November 2012.

While the big prize may have escaped for now, one lucky Western Australian will be enjoying tomorrow’s International Happiness Day $45,932.30 richer after picking up a Division Two prize.

Winthrop Village News and Gifts sold the winning Division Two ticket.

Lotterywest media spokesperson Jennie Fitzhardinge said it was exciting to see the jackpot climb.

“At $70 million, OZ Lotto is getting into record-breaking territory,” Ms Fitzhardinge said.

“The biggest OZ Lotto prize a WA player has won is $40 million in March 2016, while the biggest ever prize for WA was $50 million for a Powerball player in 2015.

“It would be great to see the WA record broken next week.”

Ms Fitzhardinge said big jackpots really paid off for the community.

“The bigger the numbers, the more people choose to play with Lotterywest, which in turn generates more money for the WA community in the form of grants to community organisations, and prizes to players.

“Last time OZ Lotto had a $70 million run, more than $10 million was raised for community grants.”

Success search on
Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from the lucky winner of $672,193 from Saturday Lotto’s draw almost four weeks ago, sold from Gateways News & Lottery Centre in Success.
