The Cook Labor Government has delivered a 2025 Election Commitment, with the official opening of Montague Hillary Park playspace in Leeming.
The project was one of five playgrounds across Perth to benefit from a combined $490,000 in upgrades.
The City of Melville received $100,000 in funding, which was used to upgrade the playground, add new nature-play facilities, and install new seating and greenery.
This follows the opening of Esplanade Park in Mount Pleasant in May. That project, which converted a parking lot into a new park with mature trees and a modern play structure, was made possible through a $150,000 Cook Labor Government Election Commitment and $465,852 funding from Lotterywest.
