Millionaire Medley win waterproofs Wilson man’s winter
A $1 million Millionaire Medley prize has turned one Wilson man’s leaky roof dilemma into a renovation dream ahead of winter.
The man in his 70s purchased the winning Slikpik System 7 ticket from Nextra Freechoice Carousel.
After settling in for his nightly ritual of watching the Lotto results on TV, he checked his ticket and discovered he’d become a millionaire.
“I can now fix my leaking roof, upgrade my kitchen and give some money to charity,” the man said.
“When I bought the ticket, I thought I’ll never win tonight since it’s Friday the 13th.
“I’ll never be saying anything bad about the number 13 ever again.”
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the man’s winning System 7 ticket cost $4.70.
“To turn a ticket worth $4.70 into a $1 million Division One prize is an incredible result for this Wilson local,” she said.
“All eyes now turn towards tonight’s $50 million Powerball jackpot, which could deliver another life-changing prize for a WA player.
“Only last November, a Mandurah couple took home a $50 million Powerball prize - so let’s see if WA can celebrate another big win tonight.”
Lotterywest supports communities across the State through its grants program each year, made possible by WA players and retailers.
A Lotterywest grant of $359,000 is supporting the fit‑out and renovation of the Australian Childhood Foundation’s new Perth office, which will support children, young people and families recovering from trauma, abuse, and family and domestic violence.
Tonight’s $50 million Powerball jackpot offers WA players the chance to win a life-changing prize. Tickets are available until 6pm in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App.
