Game, Set for Life, Match: WA’s big winner is yet to be found

Lotterywest is urging players to check their tickets after Western Australia's first top-prize winner under the enhanced Set for Life game has yet to come forward.

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased from Melville Newspower for the Thursday 3 October draw, during an extraordinary four-day run that also delivered Division One wins in Saturday Lotto and Millionaire Medley.

It’s the first Set for Life Division One winner since the game was enhanced in September, giving winners an upfront prize of $200,000 plus $20,000 a month for 20 years.

Lotterywest spokesperson Nikki Wilson-Smith said someone could be carrying a life-changing ticket without knowing it.

"This is the first top-prize winner we've seen since Set for Life was enhanced and we're very keen to unite the winner with their prize," said Ms Wilson-Smith.

"A prize like this can completely change the direction of someone's life, the upfront $200,000 alone can create opportunities many people only dream about, while the ongoing monthly payments provide long-term security.

"We've seen first-hand how even a share of a major lottery prize can help people make significant life changes.

"People are generally very good at claiming their win, this is our only outstanding Division One prize from the last year."

Melville Newspower owner Angela Misackovski said there would be plenty of excitement in the community while the prize remains unclaimed.

"We love seeing big wins land in our local community, and right now there'll be a lot of people checking pockets, drawers and gloveboxes hoping they're holding the winning ticket," Ms Misackovski said.

A Lotterywest grant of $1 million supported the City of Perth to build a new Community Stage at the Supreme Court Gardens. The stage will be opened this Sunday with a free community picnic.

Set for Life is drawn every day of the year, and players can check results and buy their tickets in-store, online or via the Lotterywest App.
