The Cook Government has delivered for the Pinjarra community, with the official opening of the Lovegrove Sports Pavilion yesterday.
The $3.8 million facility includes a multi-function room, commercial kitchen, changerooms, equipment stores and a wraparound veranda, and was partially funded by the Cook Government through a $524,000 Lotterywest grant and $750,000 from the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund.
The new pavilion will benefit over 550 local cricket and hockey club senior and junior members - and with women's changerooms it will be able to increase women's participation in cricket and hockey sports.
