$100 Million Powerball draw puts WA record in sight
It could be a record-breaking day in Western Australia if tonight’s $100 million jackpot is won by a WA ticket.
If a Western Australian ticket is the only Division One winner, it will be the largest prize in Lotterywest history.
This Thursday’s draw is the largest draw so far this year.
It’s the first time Powerball has reached $100 million since June 2025, marking just the 13th time in the game's 30-year history.
Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said the three biggest Powerball prizes in WA of $80 million, $63 million and $53 million were all won by syndicates.
“The largest prize was $80 million shared by a group of women from a northern suburbs gym in December 2021,” Mr Smith said.
“We hope that the WA tradition continues with another syndicate win as these big jackpots offer a great chance for friends, family and workmates to come together and share the cost of entry, and hopefully a win!”
Players are encouraged to register their syndicates through a Lotterywest retailer so that each member can have their own registered ticket. An official syndicate needs at least five members with a minimum spend of $5 each.
Players can also join a syndicate organised by their local Lotterywest retailer.
Sales are expected to peak between 4-5pm today, with more than 770 tickets a minute selling. Players are encouraged to avoid the rush by purchasing their tickets early.
This Powerball run is projected to raise an estimated $20 million for the community.
