A pet, part time work and safari travel for WA's latest Set for Life winner
Western Australia’s latest Set for Life winner will add pet ownership to her wish list after taking home a Division One prize of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
The woman’s winning ticket was purchased from Margaret River Newsagency and will deliver a total of $4.8 million across two decades.
Forgetting she even had bought the Set for Life ticket, the woman said she went to bed on draw night none the wiser that she had won this life-changing prize.
“It wasn’t until the following night in bed when I saw online that a local Set for Life ticket had won, that I remembered I had a ticket," she said.
The winner said she plans to swap full time for part time work, enjoy more time at home gardening and crafting, and take dream holidays to Tasmania and safari parks.
“I’m also saving for a home and I can’t wait to own a dog. Finding a rental that allows pets is really challenging, so I’m really looking forward to that.”
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said a Set for Life Division One prize was a chance to spend more time doing the things you love.
“$20,000 every month for 20 years is an opportunity to slow down and think about what you really want to do, with freedom and security in your future,” she said.
“Alongside this woman becoming WA’s second Set for Life Division One winner of the year, the game has also delivered 20 Division Two prizes to WA players in 2026.
“A Division Two Set for Life prize is $5,000 a month for 12 months, a total $60,000 across the year.”
Set for Life is drawn daily and one ticket gives you entry in seven consecutive draws. Tickets are available instore, online, or through the Lotterywest App until 6pm on draw-day.
