A million cures for Mondayitis

Western Australia is celebrating a new millionaire after a WA ticket matched the numbers to a Division One prize worth $1 million in last night’s Millionaire Medley draw.

WA’s winning ticket, sold through Lotterywest Play Online, was the only Division One winning ticket across the country.

More than 13,000 WA players also shared in the excitement, taking home prizes across divisions two to six. Thanks to this week’s Millionaire Medley special event - Double Win Day, those players had their prizes doubled.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the win marks WA’s seventh Millionaire Medley Division One winner for the year.

“It’s fantastic to celebrate another WA millionaire thanks to Millionaire Medley, especially on a night where winners across other divisions doubled their prize – the perfect pick-me-up for a Monday,” she said.

“If last night’s Division One winner hasn’t checked their ticket yet, they’re in for a wonderful surprise when our Customer Service team gets in touch to break the news.

“I don’t think Mondays will ever feel the same again for them.”

In more good news, a WA player won Division Two in Set for Life last night thanks to a ticket purchased through Lotterywest Play Online. That player will pocket $5,000 a month for the next 12 months.

Thanks to WA players and retailers, all available profit from every Lotto ticket sold supports the WA community through Lotterywest’s grants program.

This May, Lotterywest is celebrating all the volunteers that give back to our community. A Lotterywest grant of $425,000 is supporting the WA Volunteer of the Year Awards on 14 May, and National Volunteer Week from 18-24 May.

Millionaire Medley offers WA players the chance to win a $1 million prize every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This week’s special event, Double Win Day, means winners across divisions two to six will double their prize. Tickets for Millionaire Medley are available until 6pm on draw day in-store, online or through the Lotterywest App.
