WA Powerball players are being called on to check their tickets, with a Division One winning ticket taking home a share in tonight’s $8 million Powerball jackpot.
There were two winning tickets across the nation, produced from Western Australia and Victoria, each worth $4 million.
The WA ticket was part of a syndicate across two retailers, Clarkson Lucky Lottery and Major Luck Lottery Centre also in Clarkson, with eight winners set to share the $4 million prize.
Lotterywest spokesperson Sarah Dawson said the exciting result is WA’s second Division One Powerball win this year, with a Swan Valley family taking home a $40 million prize in March.
“So far this year, WA has celebrated 74 Division One wins across all Lotto games, which has seen players share almost $200 million in Division One prizes,” Sarah said.
"The WA community is also a winner tonight, with this Powerball jackpot run raising around $1.1 million for the Western Australian community through Lotterywest’s grants program.”
Tonight’s draw produced a further 62,336 WA winners across the other Divisions, including 20 Division Two winners who will each pocket more than $7,800.
