Western Australia is home to another two new millionaires today, thanks to Wednesday Lotto.
Last night’s draw resulted in four players across the country matching the numbers to a $1 million Division One prize, with two based in WA.
One of the tickets was sold from Vaucluse Newsagency in South Perth, with the other sold online.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said imagine the feeling of winning $1 million right in the middle of the week.
“These two wins now mean WA is celebrating 78 Division One winners for 2023, with these players sharing in more than $208 million,” he said.
For more than 90 years Lotterywest, as the only State Government owned and operated lottery in the country, has been raising money to support the WA community.
Thanks to local players and WA retailers, more than $6.3 billion has been return to the WA community in the form of Lotterywest grants over these 90 years.
This support includes a $100,000 grant to Southcare Incorporated this year, which will go towards crisis and emergency relief for people experiencing financial hardship in South Perth and the surrounding areas.
