Two Western Australian players will take home almost $1.3 million each thanks to the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw. The Division One tickets, which remain unclaimed, were sold from Nightingales Pharmacy and Newsagency in Kalamunda and Nextra Dianella.
Saturday’s draw was the first to incorporate the new game improvements, which included an increase from the Division One prize pool from an estimated $4 million to $5 million.
The improvements also saw the chances of winning any prize improving from 1-in-86 to 1-in-42, based on one game, the best odds of any Lotto games.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the draw produced 131,469 Division Six winners from WA, which was more than double the amount of the previous Saturday draw.
“It’s great to see thousands more local winners taking home a Saturday Lotto prize,” he said.
“Due to the change in the combination of winning numbers needed to win Division Six its now become twice as easy to win, with the odds improving from 1-in-144 to 1-in-52.”
The State’s tally of Division One winners across our State has now reached 59, with those winners sharing in more than $72 million.
“Thanks to our players, we have also provided 423 grants totalling over $65 million through Lotterywest’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, helping WA to recover,” he said.
The next big chance to win big is in this week’s $40 million Powerball jackpot. Tickets are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
