Back in the 1920s Western Australia was a pretty different place. But between then and now, one of the things that has stayed the same is the beautiful Swimming Pool Brook in Pemberton.
Created by timber mill workers as a place for swimming lessons, it’s now a heritage listed freshwater pool nestled amongst the karri trees that South West WA is so famous for.
A Lotterywest grant to the Pemberton Visitor Centre is supporting construction of a bridge over the pool, plus linkage trails in the nearby Mountain Bike Park.
We love seeing local communities flourish, and what could be better than heading down south to take in the beauty of the towering trees , relax and enjoy a cheeky swim.
“This latest grant will build on our trails network and provide the infrastructure for bushwalkers, mountain bike riders, trail runners and horse riders to get outdoors and discover this beautiful part of the world.”
