Update: WA home to $30 million Powerball winner

A ticket from Western Australia is now worth $30 million after matching the numbers to Thursday’s Powerball jackpot.

Lotterywest can confirm the Division One winning ticket was sold in the metropolitan area, is a single-entry ticket and is registered to a Lotterywest membership.

This ticket was the only Division One winner across the country and is the State’s first Powerball Division One win this year.

Thursday’s win is also WA’s biggest Division One prize since April 2023.

Last night’s Powerball draw has also produced a Division Two ticket worth more than $92,000, which was purchased from Caring Pharmacy East Fremantle.

Thanks to our players and local retailers, this three-week Powerball jackpot run has contributed $5.9 million to Lotterywest’s grants program, which supports community groups across the State.

As the Division One prize is $30 million, Lotterywest will hold off sharing the exact location of where the ticket was sold, a policy which encourages the protection of the player.
