More regional Western Australian families and children needing medical care in Perth will now have greater access to free accommodation with the opening of new Ronald McDonald House premises.
Ronald McDonald House on Park was officially opened today, expanding free accommodation services in Perth for regional children receiving care at Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) by 50 rooms - nearly doubling total capacity.
The Cook Government contributed an additional $9.6 million to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) for the project, as well as a $1.2 million Lotterywest grant to support a fit-out and a $6 million donation from the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation over the next five years.
