The Cook Labor Government has awarded more than $7 million to Uniting WA to develop a transitional accommodation service for women over 55 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness at their property in Fremantle.
Historic Wyn Carr House will be refurbished and expanded to accommodate office space, support services and 12 bedrooms with a total of $7,090,228 funding delivered through:
- $4,202,045 from the Cook Government Community Housing New Build grant;
- $819,925 from the Cook Government Community Housing Refurbishment grant; and
- $2,068,258 in Lotterywest grant funding.
