Port Hedland's Spoilbank Marina has officially opened, marking a new era for the Pilbara community and delivering on a key WA Labor election commitment.
The $187.5 million marina provides the Hedland community and visitors with access to a vibrant new space, as well as enhancing safety for recreational boaters.
The Spoilbank Marina includes a four-lane recreational boat ramp, boat pens, fish cleaning facilities, fishing jetty and a recreation and event space with public amenities.
Work will soon start on an interactive adventure playground for children and families at the marina, funded by a $4 million Lotterywest grant awarded to the Town of Port Hedland.
